Join the Richmond Chapter of the VR/AR Association for a panel discussion on Augmented Reality!

For our next chapter event, we will be hosting a panel discussion on the state of AR in the Greater Richmond Area. We’re very excited to be hosting some true leaders in the scene that are doing very exciting AR work right here in Virginia. Jonathan Martin from Newport News Shipbuilding, Greg Werkheiser and his team from ARtGlass, Doug Nunn from Capital One and Creative Mornings, and experience designer Angelica Ortiz.

The event will be held on Wednesday, March 14th at 5:30 PM at the Shockoe.com offices in Scott’s Addition. Address is 3122 W. Marshall St. Suite 200 (use the entrance on the side by the parking lot). Thanks to the generous support of Shockoe and the VR/AR Association Richmond Chapter, this event will also be free of charge to the public, so we hope to see you there.

VRARA Detroit Chapter has selected Lawrence Technological University and the LTU Collaboratory as the location for VRARA Detroit Chapter monthly meetings. LTU has also opted to join the trade association for the virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality industries.

The first six monthly meetings will be held in the University Technology and Learning Center Gallery on the campus of LTU from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evenings, Feb. 27, March 27, April 24, May 22, June 26 and July 31. LTU’s campus is at 21000 W. 10 Mile Road in Southfield (see www.ltu.edu/map).

The evening programs will include a keynote speaker, hardware and software demonstrations, and networking.

The inaugural speaker for Feb. 27 will be Franco Bevione, CEO of Wedoo LLC, the Birmingham-based United States subsidiary of a digital creative agency in Turin, Italy. www.wedoo.it

The VR/AR Association (VRARA) has announced a partnership with Cantech Investment Conference; the biggest technology investment conference in Canada, coming to Toronto on January 31st! XR Connects London (January 22-23, 2018) continues our growing event series for the VR/AR/MR industry created by Steel Media, the team behind the PG Connects series of conferences, Pocket Gamer, PG.biz, The Virtual Report, and the Global VR Challenge.
